Global Hotkeys
Trigger any capture mode from anywhere on your Mac with a keyboard shortcut.
Setting a Hotkey
- 1. Open Settings (menu bar → Settings… or ⌘,).
- 2. Go to the Hotkeys tab.
- 3. Click the key field next to the action you want to configure.
- 4. Press your desired key combination.
- 5. The shortcut is saved immediately.
Tip: Use modifier combinations like ⌃⌘, ⌥⌘, or ⌃⇧ to avoid conflicts with system shortcuts. Reticle hotkeys work even when the app is in the background.
How Reticle fits alongside macOS
macOS owns ⌘⇧3 and ⌘⇧4 — don't fight it. Reticle sits right next to them at ⌘⇧2.
